She originally worked for our sister company, Order Order!, as an apprentice in 2018 and earned a Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration and IT Skills and Development. With Order Order! Sophie gained a lot of different experience and an insight into the different stages of a medical negligence claim.
After three years with Order Order! Sophie went on to work at Sheffield Children’s Hospital in the Histopathology lab producing reports for placental pathology, neonatal deaths, and growths amongst other things. Having gained experience within the NHS, she saw firsthand the significant pressure that a lot of healthcare professionals feel but also the compassion and level of care that the staff have for their patients.
“It is because of this pressure that mistakes happen, and it can have a detrimental effect on the patient and their families. It was here that I decided I would like to get back into the legal side of things to feel a part of getting justice for those patients and their families.”
Sophie now assists our operations director Jo with all things account based including maintaining our client account, fee remission and invoicing. She finds it very rewarding to hear how happy a client is once their case has been successful.
How Sophie likes to spend her spare time
In her spare time, Sophie likes to socialise with friends, binge-watch the occasional crime documentary, go on long walks and bake sweet treats.
