Caroline Moore, director of niche medico-legal firm Medical Solicitors, has been named Partner of the Year at the Sheffield & District Law Society’s Yorkshire Legal Banquet and Awards 2022.

Deemed the most special award of the night by the organisers, the Partner of the Year award was presented to Caroline in recognition of her company’s growth over the last two years, having opened offices in York and Hull within 12 months of each other.

Leadership isn’t always about who has settled the biggest cases or created the most revenue. Despite the economic fragility and business disruption of the last two years, Caroline has continued to press on with opportunities for expansion Medical Solicitors’ while others in the legal sector been forced to close offices and cut workforces.

Caroline said: “I am delighted to be awarded Partner of Year 2022. It is such an honour. This also feels like recognition of my efforts to maintain a healthy business, with a happy workforce, in the context of sustained, careful growth through the difficult pandemic.”

A highly experienced solicitor, Caroline single-handedly launched Medical Solicitors in 2009 following a prolific 18-year career in clinical negligence working for various Sheffield law practices. To meet the growing demand for clinical negligence claims, Caroline launched the York office in November 2020 and the Hull office in September 2021 which have strengthened Medical Solicitors’ foothold in the region.

Being a niche firm, Caroline’s mantra has always been to deliver exceptional standards of client care, seeing each client as more than just a case number. Medical Solicitors has held Lexcel accreditation for many years now, the Law Society’s quality mark, for being comprehensively managed and having a strong customer focus.

Caroline is still very much at the heart of the business, supervising the well-rounded team of specialist lawyers while also managing her own case load. Caroline has numerous specialisms including gynaecology, birth and maternal injuries, cancer claims, misprescribing errors, and chiropractic/osteopathy injuries.

Medical Solicitors was one of many firms in Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley shortlisted for various awards on the night, with all finalists chosen for their commitment to clients and dedication to best practice.

The Sheffield & District Law Society awards recognise the achievements and celebrate talent of the region’s brightest and best solicitors. Hosted at the Royal Victoria Hotel on Friday 25 February, the event was a great opportunity to network, socialise and celebrate the successes of the last 12 months.
